Tenant Celebration Week 2025

Tenant celebration week is a number of activities across the city, to celebrate council housing and communities.

It runs from Monday 8 September to Friday 12 September. It wraps up with the tenants celebration day on Saturday 13 September in Hangleton Community Centre. The event is called 'wellbeing in the community and helping ourselves'.

Tenant groups, community partners and organisations are all invited to host an activity during this week. This can be anything, big or small, that celebrates council tenants and council housing. There is funding available of up to £250 to help.

Want to host an activity?

Whether it's an idea you've had for a while or something spontaneous, we'd love to hear it. It could be a:

• picnic, tea party or coffee morning
• children's fun afternoon with games or entertainment
• film screening with popcorn
• local art gallery exhibit or craft showcase
• community garden tour or planting session
• talk or discussion on a topic that matters to you
