Summer Park & Ride

A Park & Ride was launched in Brighton & Hove for selected days in August to support travel into the city during the busy summer period.

The new service is operating 5 weekend dates in August and the whole of the August Bank Holiday weekend.

Using car park space for at least 500 vehicles at the University of Sussex campus in Falmer, dedicated Park & Ride buses are taking people into the city centre and back again for £7 per vehicle, including all its passengers.

Tell us what you think

Park & Ride is part of city-wide strategy to give our residents and visitors affordable and sustainable travel options with a view to developing a permanent park and ride scheme for Brighton & Hove in the future.

We'd like to hear what you think about our Summer Park & Ride service.

The survey will take around 10 to 15 minutes to complete.

Park at the University of Sussex in Falmer, pay £7 for everyone in one car and hop on a dedicated Park & Ride bus every 15 minutes straight to the heart of Brighton. The bus will take you just minutes from the pier, the seafront, and the Lanes.

Whether you’re heading to the North Laine or just enjoying a seaside day out, Park & Ride is your smoothest way in and out of the city.

The summer Park & Ride is only for those driving to the site and parking. We'll be considering wider options in the future.

Outside of the advertised Park & Ride dates, the University of Sussex car park is not available for Park & Ride, and the dedicated bus service will not be running. Use standard city centre car parks outside of the Park & Ride dates. Find out more about our car parks.

Other transport options are available for non-Park & Ride users from this site and across the city, such as the regular bus services serving the city, train services and Beryl BTN Bikeshare
