South Hollingdean residents' parking scheme

Have your say on proposals for a residents' parking scheme in your area and make sure your voice is heard!

We're asking residents both north and south of the area known locally as ‘The Dip’ for their views on how they’d like to move forward. The Dip consists of Hollingbury Crescent, Hollingbury Place and The Crossway.

If you're in the area south of, or including The Dip, view the proposals and let us know what you think.

Have your say before Sunday 9 March.

Take a look at the background information and FAQs in phase 1 before completing the questionnaire.

Traffic Regulation Order

8 August 2025 - 30 August 2025

The Traffic Regulation Order is the final chance to comment on proposals for a new resident parking scheme in the south Hollingdean area.

The Traffic Regulation Order will be advertised from 8th August 2025 to 29th August 2025.

Traffic Regulation Order's are the legal documents behind the rules of the road. They allow us to enforce traffic and parking restrictions.

We advertise proposals for new restrictions via a public notice. You can comment on the proposals during a 21-day period on our Traffic Regulation Order webpage. The reference number for the south Hollingdean area resident parking scheme is TRO-16-2025.

If required, the council Cabinet member for Transport and City Infrastructure will then consider objections and comments of support. The Cabinet member will decide if the proposals should go ahead as they are, with changes, or not at all.

We'll share the results from the Traffic Regulation Order consultation and any further updates.
