School admission arrangements 2027 to 2028
We’re asking for your views on proposed changes to school admission arrangements in the city from September 2027.
We want to hear from pupils, parents and carers, school staff and governors and the communities in and around Brighton & Hove.
Information about the proposals is included throughout the survey. If you'd like to see full details of the proposals, please take a look at the background information phase.
Have your say
Your thoughts really help us understand the affects of the proposals and guide our decisions.
Have your say until Friday 9 January 2026.
The survey will take around 10 minutes to complete. If you log in, you can save your answers and come back later to finish it.
Come along to an event
In addition to the online survey, we're holding a series of events which are open to everyone who'd like to attend.
The events are listed in the events section. Please book your place to let us know you're coming.
Phases
Background information
Brighton & Hove is experiencing a drop in pupil numbers across the city, and this isn't expected to change soon. To help manage this, we're proposing to reduce the number of places at 1 primary school and 1 junior school.
After making significant changes to secondary school admissions last year, we're now proposing a few smaller changes to how sibling links and waiting lists work.
You can find all the details in the cabinet papers.
