Professional dog walking restrictions in Blakers Park

During an initial review, we found that Blakers Park has an issue with a high number of professional dog walkers using the park.

In response, we're proposing a new Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) that would prevent professional dog walkers from walking dogs in Blakers Park as part of their business,.

We want to know what you think about the proposal. and we're are asking for your views on this.

What is this PSPO about?

The proposed PSPO would stop professional dog walkers from walking dogs in Blakers Park as part of their business.

The aim is to respond to concerns about the high number of professional dog walkers in the park and help make sure the space can be enjoyed by everyone.

The rule would only apply to professional dog walkers. It would not affect residents or visitors walking their own dogs.

Restricted areas

The PSPO would apply only to Blakers Park.

Failure to comply

If someone breaks the PSPO, it would be a criminal offence and they may get a £100 fine.
