Ovingdean Area and Forum Applications
The Ovingdean community have submitted an application to establish a neighbourhood area and neighbourhood forum for the Ovingdean Area.
What is being proposed?
Two applications have been submitted to the Council that relate to the area shown on the accompanying map. One seeks to designate the area as a Neighbourhood Area; the other seeks to designate a Neighbourhood Forum. If they are approved the neighbourhood forum will be able to draw up a neighbourhood development plan for the area.
How does it affect you?
Neighbourhood planning gives local people who live, work, or are elected representatives in an area the right to draw up a neighbourhood plan, setting out a vision for future development in the area. If the forum designation is made, no other organisation can be designated to draw up a neighbourhood plan for the area.
How can you get involved?
The consultation period runs for 6 weeks from xxx to xxx 2024.
