Estate Development Budget (EDB) - new name needed!
Estate Development Budget (EDB) is changing and we need your help!
In spring 2026, we'll be re-launching the fantastic EDB project. So many tenants have benefitted from it over the years and it's time we gave it a facelift.
In order to to do that, we need your help to come up with a new name for it.
Here's an overview of EDB to help;
Our Estate Development Budget (EDB) provides money for ideas that can make a positive difference to your neighbourhood.
The fund is set each year by councillors as part of our annual budget. It's split between the 4 areas of the city (Central, North, East, West). The amount each area receives is based on the number of council houses in that area.
You can make a bid as a residents' association, group of council tenants, individual council tenants or third sector groups.
In the last year, the EDB has funded a variety of projects including, large community murals, sit down yoga sessions and youth theatre sessions.
This consultation forms part of an ongoing process with the new name being decided and announced in due course.
Guidance:
Feel free to go for it but consider keeping it short and snappy. We'd suggest up to 3 words : )
