Dyke Road / Upper North Street junction changes

Thank you for your feedback on the proposed changes to the junction of Dyke Road and Upper North Street in Brighton.

More information

After a review of the area, we're planning to remove the traffic lights and replace them with a new 'T' junction.

The lights are at the end of their useful life and need replacing but changes to traffic flow in the area mean they're not needed as much as they once were.

We'd also replace the signalised crossing with central islands which we think will make it easier for you to cross.

Removing the lights would also improve the reliability of bus travel times through the city centre.
