Homes for everyone - housing strategy 2024 to 2029

Next steps with our housing strategy.

In July 2023, we agreed a new council plan to make Brighton & Hove a city we can all be proud of, a city that is fair and inclusive and a healthy place where people can thrive. Homes for everyone is central to our vision for a better Brighton & Hove for all.

The draft housing strategy for consultation outlined our proposed priorities for the next 5 years and set out our plans to deliver accessible, affordable and high-quality homes for everyone in Brighton & Hove.

The consultation is now closed.

We consulted on the draft strategy from 18 March to 2 June 2024. We received many detailed responses and we are grateful to everyone who took the time to respond. A link to the consultation report is below.

The Council agreed the strategy on 24 October 2024. The final version of Homes for everyone: Housing strategy 2024 to 2029 is available on our website.

Our assessment of population trends and future housing needs can be found in our Strategic Housing Market Assessment 2023
