We are required to publish our public notice which is our formal notification of the consultation.

A sustainability appraisal (SA) must be carried out during the preparation of a local plan.

The first stage of the SA is called the Scoping Report. This sets out the context, objectives and approach of the SA. It also identifies relevant environmental, economic and social issues and objectives for the plan area.

There are some questions on the Scoping Report in the City Plan 2041 survey.

A copy of the Scoping Report was available to view at Jubilee Library, Hove Town Hall and Bartholomew's House Customer Service Centres.

We have produced a number of background evidence studies to inform the key issues consultation.

These can be found on our website:

We have also produced an Interim Consultation Statement where you can read a summary of the responses received during the consultation.
