Revised gambling policy 2025-2027
As a licensing authority, we're carrying out a survey as part of the review of our Gambling Policy.
The policy reflects national legislation and guidance and demonstrates how responsible authorities will operate at a local level. Proposed changes to the policy may be led by governmental decisions or by lessons learned locally in Brighton & Hove.
For the latest update (for 2025 to 27), there are no procedural or policy changes but it has been updated to reflect current facts and figures.
We're inviting residents, members of the public and local stakeholders, as well as statutory consultees and 'responsible authorities' to have their say on the proposed policy. Your views will help to inform the revised policy.
The survey closes on Sunday 15 September 2024.

Why the council is consulting on the revised gambling policy
As a licensing authority, we needs to regularly review and update its Gambling Policy. For the latest update of the policy (for 2025 to 27), there are no procedural or policy changes within the revised copy but we have updated current facts and figures.
We'd like local stakeholders, residents and members of the public, as well as statutory consultees and ‘responsible authorities’, to have their say on the updated policy. Your views will help to inform the revised policy.
You can view the full revised policy on the council's website: Gambling Policy 2025 to 2027 consultation (brighton-hove.gov.uk) or below as a PDF.
