LGBTQ cultural installation
From "Better Brighton & Hove fund"
Go to the project
Brighton has long been known as the LGBT capital of the UK yet there are no cultural landmarks to celebrate this. Other cities have rainbow crossings, statues and flags. It would be nice for Brighton to have something too!
This could be a rainbow crossing, rainbow flags, a rainbow road on St James’ Street. It could also be something unique but simple to create like fibre optic lights throughout the street projecting the rainbow on buildings or simply painting buildings, street furniture and kerbs in bright rainbow colours.
