Ovingdean Neighbourhood Forum have been working on development of a Neighbourhood Plan for Ovingdean since early 2024 and have made very good progress. Unfortunately the Government withdrew all funds in April 2025 and no further funds will be forthcoming. Members of the Forum are completing the work on the plan, but to complete the plan we will need funding to run Forum and village meetings, print surveys and notices and to pay for a consultant to review the draft plan before it is submitted and rework after submission. We estimate £3000 would enable us to make good progress in 2026.
Having a Neighbourhood Plan in place will enable Ovingdean to take better control over developments and receive a higher proportion of CIL money in the future
