A safe and fun walking route to Carden Primary school
From "Better Brighton & Hove fund"
Go to the project
What makes walking to school more fun, safe, and helps develop responsibility and community? A school walking train!
Parents at Carden primary are planning a walking train that snakes around the Hollingbury area and allows Y4-Y6 children to walk to school more independently and safely.
The money would be for posters and signage marking the routes, and two crossing points on Carden Hill: one at the junction with County Oak Avenue, and another nearer to the Stanmer Hill estate blocks.

Love this - yes please! Crossing points are so desperately needed on Carden Hill. It has none. All the residents of Hollingbury use it, it is a busy bus route, full of vans and lorries, fast cars coming down the hill and parking on both sides. Everyone would benefit, not just the kids. (But also great for the kids too!)
